1980-2001 Perez-Steele Signed Postcard Near-Complete Set with 71 of Possible 107 Signed (271 Cards Total)

Unique artist and Hall of Famer signed set. Perez-Steele Hall of Fame postcard near-complete set of 271 cards (missing Herman, Ferrell, and two checklist cards) with seventy-one cards signed by Hall of Famers (of a possible 107). Perez-Steele Hall of Fame Postcards were originally issued in fifteen individual series between 1980 and 2001. With the exception of seven cards (featuring Hall of Fame Officials, Perez-Steele Gallery executives, and other non-ballplayers), only Baseball Hall of Fame members are included in the set. Each card was limited to a print run of 10,000 and every card is individually numbered on the reverse. This near-complete set of 251 Hall of Fame postcards (out of 253, each numbered "2,783 of 10,000"), plus thirteen checklist cards (out of fifteen), and seven "bonus" cards (for a total of 271 postcards), is unique (or virtually unique) in that almost all of the cards signed by the players have also been signed by the artist Dick Perez. The fifty-eight postcards signed by the respective player/individual(s) pictured and Dick Perez are as follows: Second Series: Hubbell; Third Series: Dickey, Terry, DiMaggio, Lyons, Feller; Fourth Series: T. Williams, Musial, Boudreau; Fifth Series: Berra, Gomez, Koufax, Leonard, Wynn, Irvin, Spahn, Conlan, Ford, Mantle, J. Johnson; Sixth Series: Kiner, Lemon, Roberts, Banks, Sewell, Mathews, Mays, Kaline, Snider, Gibson, Mize, Stack (President of the Hall of Fame); Seventh Series: Aaron, Chandler, T. Jackson, F. Robinson, Kell, Marichal, B. Robinson; Eighth Series: Aparicio, Drysdale, Killebrew, Reese, Brock, Slaughter, Wilhelm; Ninth Series: Doerr, McCovey, Dandridge, Hunter, B. Williams, Peggy Steele, Frank Steele, Dick Perez; Tenth Series: Stargell, Barlick, Schoendienst, Yastrzemski; Eleventh Series: Jenkins, Perry. The additional fifteen cards signed only by the respective Hall of Fame player are as follows: Sixth Series: Lopez; Tenth Series: Bench; Eleventh Series: Morgan, Palmer, and Carew; Twelfth Series: Hunter, Newhouser, Seaver, R. Jackson, Carlton, and Rizzuto; Thirteenth Series: Ashburn, Schmidt, Bunning, and Weaver. The cards (3.5 x 5.5 inches) are all in Near Mint to Mint condition and the signatures (all of which are scripted in blue Sharpie) are all extremely high quality, ranging in grade from "9" to "10."
