1964 Beatles Signed Another Beatles Christmas Show Program

Starting Bid - $2,500.00 , Sold For - $7,637.50

1964 program from Another Beatles Christmas Show , signed on the cover in blue ink by each member of the band: Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Ringo Starr, and George Harrison. An additional blue-ink inscription, in Harrison’s hand, reads “Best Wishes from the Beatles.” All of the signatures are fairly uniform in strength and grade “8” on average. As noted on the reverse, the artwork for both the front and back covers of this program feature drawings by John Lennon from the Christmas edition of John Lennon in His Own Write . This twenty-page program was issued for Another Beatles Christmas Show , which ran from December 24, 1964, through January 16, 1965, at the Hammersmith Odeon Cinema in London. Appearing with the Beatles on the card were The Yardbirds, Jimmy Saville, Ray Fell, The Mike Cotton Sound, Freddie and the Dreamers, Sounds Incorporated, Elkie Brooks, and Michael Haslam. The interior pages picture numerous photos of the Beatles, as well as photos and brief histories of all the show’s performers. Also included are advertisements for the Beatles’ latest albums and sheet music. The program displays moderate handling wear, including light soiling and a number of minor creases, but is overall very clean, crisp, and strong. In addition to being a very substantial program dating from the early years of their great fame, the cover design, which is uplifting and unmistakably Lennon's artwork, makes this an exceptionally desirable signed item as it is so ideal for framing and display. Authentic vintage signed Beatles items are rarely in a form that is so artistic and ideal for framing. A few stray ink notations appear on the interior pages. In Very Good to Excellent condition overall. There are many nonauthentic Beatles signed items in the marketplace. This is definitely real! It is guaranteed to pass authentication by Frank Caiazzo. LOA from James Spence/JSA. Also accompanied by an LOA from highly respected British authenticators and Beatles specialists Tracks. Reserve $2,500. Estimate $5,000+. SOLD FOR $7,637.50
