1950s Original Hartland Statue Collection Including Nine Boxes, Seven Tags, etc. (12)

Starting Bid - $1,000.00 , Sold For - $2,643.75

Hartland statues are rarely found with their original boxes. Presented is a very substantial collection of nine original Hartlands from the company's earlier line of historical and television Western characters, complete with their original boxes. Also included are two additional statues without boxes (including one baseball figure) and the smaller generic baseball "bat boy" statue. This is a great group from an old-time advanced collector who put these aside many years ago. Unless otherwise noted, each plastic statue is in overall Excellent to Near Mint condition and comes complete with its original box and accessories. Seven statues include the rare Hartland tag, as noted below. The tags alone are incredibly rare and very desirable to Hartland collectors. Boxes are difficult to grade because there are so many things that can go wrong with them. Even a Very Good condition box is a fairly high-grade survivor with extraordinary display value. The following nine statues include their original boxes: 1) Dale Evans; box is Ex-Mt. We don't know how this box survived in such high grade. This is a gem. Hartland tag is Mint. 2) Roy Rogers; comes with "Bullit," Roy's dog; box is Vg (detached side flap). 3) Cochise; box is Vg (minor tape repair and creases). 4) Chief Thunderbird; possibly with a mismatched horse (different from the one pictured in the company brochure); box is Vg (with some staining). 5) Cheyenne; box is Vg-Ex (a few light stains); tag is good (stains). 6) Lone Ranger; possibly with a mismatched horse (different from the one pictured in the company brochure); box is Vg-Ex. 7) Tonto; box is Ex (with a small piece of tape on lid and side); tag is Nr/Mt. 8) George Washington; box is Vg-Ex; tag is Ex. 9) General Custer; box is Vg; tag is Nr/Mt. The following three statues do not have boxes: 10-12) Babe Ruth with tag (Nr/Mt), General Robert E. Lee with tag (good, with stains), and the small generic baseball batboy/mascot statue. This is an extraordinary collection of quality Hartlands, including nine rare original boxes and seven original tags. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,000+. SOLD FOR $2,643.75
