1953 to 1968 Non-Sport Automobile Complete Set Collection (5 sets, 431 cards)

Collection of five high-quality complete nonsport sets, all issued between 1953 and 1968, and all are related to the automobile. Autos are a very popular subject for cards and these classic sets are extremely popular with nonsport-card collectors today, just as they were with kids when they were first issued. 1) 1953 Bowman "Antique Autos" complete set (48) plus 3-D glasses: 80% Ex to Ex-Mt, 20% Vg to Vg-Ex. The 3-D glasses are in Vg condition. 2) 1953-1955 Topps "World On Wheels" complete set (180 + ten back variations): Complete set of 180 with wrapper plus ten extra high numbers (#171-180) with blue backs. 90% Ex-Mt to Nr/Mt, 10% Ex. This is an exceptional high-grade complete set of what is widely regarded as the premier automobile-related card set. The wrapper has a corner chip and is otherwise in Vg condition. 3) 1961 Topps "Sports Cars" complete set (66): 65% Ex-Mt to Nr/Mt, 35% Ex (with a few slightly lesser). 4) 1965 Donruss "Hot Rod Spec Sheet" complete set (66): 85% Ex-Mt to Nr/Mt, 15% lesser (mostly Ex). 5) Circa 1968 Shell "Cars of the World" complete set (60): Issued in New Zealand, this complete set of 60 cards features beautiful illustrations of many different types of automobiles, from the earliest models to the newest creations of the 1960s. Each card is mounted, as intended, in the original album made to store the cards. These automobile-related sets were assembled over a twenty-year span by a longtime advanced collector.
