1903 E107 Breisch-Williams Jimmy Sheckard

Graded POOR 10 by SGC. E107 Breisch-Williams of outfielder Jimmy Sheckard from the Brooklyn Superbas of the National League. Although primarily remembered for his years with the Cubs, for whom he played in four World Series, Sheckard had his best years earlier with Brooklyn, the team on which he is featured on his E107 card. He batted .353 while leading the league with 19 triples and a .536 slugging percentage for the 1901 Brooklyn Superbas; his 11 HR and 104 RBI were career highs. In 1903, his nine home runs were enough to capture the National League title, and he also tied for the league lead with 67 stolen bases. Reserve $300. Estimate $500+. SOLD FOR $705.00
