1909 E95 Philadelphia Caramel Frank Chance PSA EX 5
Starting Bid - $300.00 , Sold For - $940.00
Graded EX 5 by PSA. One of only seven examples graded at this level, with just two graded higher. High-grade example of Hall of Famer Frank Chance in a portrait pose from the highly desirable E95 Philadelphia Caramel series. For a caramel card, PSA EX 5 is an impressive grade. Due to the thin stock on which they are printed, and their method of issue, these cards are rarely found in high grade. Bright and clean, both front and back, with a vibrant green background, centered slightly to the left (35/65 L/R), a hint of even wear to the corners, and a perfectly clean surface with particularly bold colors. The printing of the checklist on the back is bright and bold. A slight hint of a surface crease in the extreme lower left corner can be seen when examined from the reverse. The designs used in E95 are particularly noted for their beauty and are unique to the set. This is an exceptional high grade E95 example and one of Hall of Famer Frank Chance's most stunning cards. SMR value is $1,100. Disclosure per section 13 of REA's terms and conditions: This lot has been consigned from the personal collection of an executive of REA's internet software service provider. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000+. SOLD FOR $940.00
