(Vg). 7) E90-2 American Caramel Pirates: Leach (Gd). 8) T211 Red Sun Pugilists (19 cards): condition ranges from Pr to Vg, averaging Good overall. Includes: Attell, two Baldwin, Brown, Burke, Coulon, Cross, Gardner, Griffin, Kaufman, Keyes, Marto, McGovern, Papke, Stewart, Willette, two Wolgast, and one other we cannot identify because the miscut on the bottom has cut the name off. The T211 of Attell is of special note to Black Sox collectors as Attell was well known as the "bagman" for gamblers in the 1919 World Series fix. This unusual and substantial assemblage was consigned to this auction by an old-time collector who put these cards aside literally decades ago. Total 137 cards. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,000/$3,000. SOLD FOR $9,400.00
