1909 to 1923 Prewar Card Collection (18)

Presented is an unusual collection of eighteen different prewar cards, spanning the years 1909 to 1923, including representation from eleven different highly regarded issues. Included are a few Hall of Famers and scarce cards from some of the most desirable sets of the era. Four cards have been graded by SGC. 1) 1909 E92 Croft’s Candy (1 card): McGraw (HOF, SGC Authentic, slightly trimmed otherwise Vg-Ex). 2) 1909 E92 Dockman & Sons (1 card): Murphy (Ex-Mt). 3) 1910 E91 American Caramel, Set C (1 card): Wilson (Vg). 4) 1910 E98 “Set of 30” (1 card): Clarke (HOF, Vg). 5) 1910 T209 Contentnea Photo Series (1 card): Clunk (Vg). 6) 1910 T210 Old Mill (1 card): Hess/series 8 (SGC EX/NM 80, perfectly clean both front and back with virtually no chipping on the condition-sensitive red borders). 7) 1911 M116 Sporting Life (2 cards): Konetchy (SGC EX 60, centered slightly to the right with four sharp corners and perfect registration) and Moren/black back (SGC EX/NM 80, bright and crisp with four sharp corners and flawless registration). 8) 1911 T201 Mecca Double Folders (4 cards): Brown/Hofman (HOF, Vg), Doyle/Meyers (Nr/Mt), Fitzpatrick/Killian (Ex), and Ford/Johnson (Ex-Mt). 9) 1911 T212 Obak (1 card): Murray (purple ink stamp on back, otherwise Ex). 10) 1913 T200 Fatima Team Card: Cleveland Americans with Joe Jackson and Nap Lajoie (Vg). 11) 1923 W572 Strip Cards (4 cards): Alexander (HOF, the ink stamps “1924” and “pitcher” are stamped on the blank reverse, otherwise Ex), S. Johnson (the ink stamp “pitcher” and the ink notation “A-112” is on the back, otherwise Ex), O’Farrell (the ink stamps “catcher” and “1924” are on the back, otherwise Vg-Ex), and Elmer Smith (the ink stamp “1924” and the ink notation “A-207” is on the back, otherwise Ex).
