1910 E104-1 Nadja Caramels and D359 Williams Baking Philadelphia Athletics Collection (3)
Starting Bid - $300.00 , Sold For - $2,643.75
Collection of three rare 1910-era card samples from two different highly regarded related issues: Williams Baking and Nadja Caramels, each with the "1910 World's Champions" overprint. This trio of rare examples is all the more noteworthy in that it is highlighted by Hall of Famer Connie Mack, one of the key rarities of the set. 1) D359 Williams Baking Topsy Hartsel. Graded FAIR 20 by SGC. 2-3) E104-1 Nadja Caramels Connie Mack (SGC POOR 10) and Rube Oldring (SGC GOOD 30). Identical to the D359 Williams Baking, and other related issues, but with blank backs. While these three cards are technically low grade, each has an appearance stronger than its technically accurate SGC-assigned grade. Three extremely presentable conservatively graded examples of one of the key Hall of Famers and two star players from these rare sets, which featured only Philadelphia Athletic players, issued to commemorate the 1910 Championship season. The very same images were used for similar sets issued by Rochester Baking, E104-1 Nadja, and T208 Cullivan's Fireside Tobacco. Total 3 cards. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000. SOLD FOR $2,643.75
