1913 WG5 National Game Joe Jackson SGC NM/MT 88

Starting Bid - $500.00 , Sold For - $2,115.00

Graded NM/MT 88 by SGC. Exceptional ultra high-grade game card of the legendary "Shoeless" Joe Jackson dating from his playing days with Cleveland. This one of only a handful of cards ever issued of Joe Jackson. This is a majestic card, and it also arguably represents the very best value of all Jackson cards. The E90-1 American Caramel Jackson, the E270 Colgan's Chip, and the T210 Old Mill Tobacco cards of Jackson, for example, would each sell for literally tens of thousands of dollars in Excellent condition, let alone in Nr/Mt-Mt condition. This uncirculated card was obviously never played with and almost certainly survived in such pristine condition in sealed complete deck. It is bright and clean, both front and back, with perfect clarity. This is an exceptionally high-grade card, essentially perfect card in all respects, and one which would be a significant addition to the most advanced Joe Jackson or vintage-card collection. The equivalent SMR value for the assigned grade is $2,500. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000+. SOLD FOR $2,115.00
