Babe Ruth Single-Signed Baseball

Starting Bid - $500.00 , Sold For - $3,525.00

Worth “Pioneer League” ball inscribed by Babe Ruth across the sweet spot. Ruth’s blue ink inscription actually begins on the west panel, where he has written “To Bernard – From,” and ends with his signature, “Babe Ruth,” magnificently scripted across the sweet spot. Both the inscription and signature are uniform and grade “5/6” overall. The hint of a virtually illegible blue-ink notation (not in Ruth’s hand, only the word “From” can be clearly distinguished) appears on the south panel. Ruth’s inscription and signature have been coated with a light layer of protective shellac. All of the manufacturer’s stampings remain legible. In Very Good to Excellent condition. LOA from James Spence/JSA. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000+. SOLD FOR $3,525.00
