Ty Cobb Signed Black-and-White Hall of Fame Postcard

Starting Bid - $1,000.00 , Sold For - $3,818.75

Black-and-white (Artvue) Hall of Fame postcard of Ty Cobb, signed in blue ink (grading “10”) in the lower margin. This is a spectacular Near Mint example of the one of the most desirable signed black-and-white postcards in the set, and one of the most desirable of all Ty Cobb signed items. One does not need to be a signed Hall of Fame postcard collector to appreciate this standard. This is also a remarkably high-grade example in all respects. Four sharp corners, a bright, unblemished surface, and a flawless signature combine to create a true classic in the field of autograph collecting. Cobb, along with Ruth, Alexander, and Eddie Collins, is one of the “keys” to any complete set of autographed black-and-white Hall of Fame postcards. This is a near-flawless example and one that would not only represent an upgrade to the vast majority of Ty Cobb signed Hall of Fame postcards in existence, but one that would be a worthy and significant addition to even the most advanced Ty Cobb, Hall of Fame, or general collection. Near Mint. LOA from James Spence/JSA. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,000+. SOLD FOR $3,818.75
