1909 T204 Ramly Tobacco Collection (8)
Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $1,293
Collection of eight different low-grade T204 Ramly Tobacco cards. One of the most elegantly designed card issues ever produced, T204 Ramlys are noted for the distinctive fancy gold-embossed borders that surround the oval photographic portraits. They are much rarer than most other tobacco-card issues from the 1910 era. The collection is comprised of the following: Frank Bowerman (possible slight trim right border, otherwise Vg-Ex), Mike Kahoe (Pr), Harry Lord (rare T.T.T advertisement on back, Pr), Johnny Lush (Gd-Vg), Jimmy McAleer (Vg), Jake Pfeister (possible slight trim right border, Nr/Mt appearance at a glance but with a tiny tear in the center), Jack Powell (Fr-Gd), and Jimmy Sheckard (Gd-Vg, note Sheckard's name is misspelled as "Schekard"). This is a very attractive but relatively affordable low-grade group of these extremely rare, desirable, and classic tobacco cards. Total 8 cards. Reserve $200. Estimate $300+. SOLD FOR $1,293
