1961 Fleer Football Original Wax Box with 13 Unopened Packs
Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $1,763
1961 Fleer football display box with thirteen original unopened 5-cent wax packs from Series 2 (#133-220). This box originally held twenty-four 5-cent wax packs. The 1961 Fleer football set includes all the stars of the day including Hall of Famers Jack Kemp, George Blanda, Jim Otto rookie, and Don Maynard rookie. While it is impossible to provide guarantees with reference to grading of unopened material, there is, of course, the very real possibility that within this box are Gem Mint cards of these stars. These extraordinary high-grade unopened wax packs are in virtually perfect condition, looking exactly as they did when they sat on a candy-store shelf in 1961. They have remained untouched in the original display box since 1961. The display box has normal shelf wear and is overall in Very Good condition. Also included is an additional single pack from this box that has been opened (original gum, wrapper, and ten Nr/Mt-Mt cards). Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$1,500. SOLD FOR $1,763
