1961-1962 Fleer Basketball Unopened Wax Pack

Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $1,058

Graded NM-MT 8 by GAI. Extraordinary original unopened wax pack of 1961-1962 Fleer basketball cards. Crisp, clean unopened wax pack approaching perfection, with only a single tiny tear on the extreme edge of the upper left corner, a not easily seen minor flaw which is so common with wax packs from this era. This is a very rare unopened wax pack in virtually flawless condition, looking exactly as it did when it appeared in a box on a candy-store shelf in 1961. This is a particularly interesting 1961 Fleer pack as very careful inspection reveals that the pack contains the last card of the set: #66 Jerry West IA (which can be seen through the back of the wrapper if you look close enough in the right light). This is an exceptional ultra high-grade unopened pack of 1961-1962 Fleer, one of the most popular of all early basketball issues, containing one of the key stars of the set. Reserve $300. Estimate $500++. SOLD FOR $1,058
