Circa 1937 Red Ball Gum Box with College Felt Pennants Premiums

Box of Red Ball Spearmint Gum, issued by the Red Ball Sales Company of Chicago, Illinois, consisting of ninety-eight unopened packaged sticks of gum (out of an original 100), plus twenty-one small felt pennants bearing the names of various colleges and universities. These premium pennants, all of which remain housed in their original unsealed paper envelopes, were provided to the dealers to be used as prizes in promotion of the gum. The prize of a pennant was disclosed on the interior wrapper of the gum. The premium pennants would be handed to the winners directly by the retailer in exchange for the lucky prize-winning wrappers. The box (10.5 x 3.5 x 1.5 inches) is in Excellent condition and looks exactly as it did when originally issued. All of the packaged gum sticks are in Near Mint to Mint condition. Reserve $300.
