Circa 1910 T205 and T206 Tobacco Card Collection (72)
Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $1,528
Collection of seventy-two different 1910-era tobacco cards consisting of twenty-eight T205 "Gold Borders" and forty-four T206 "White Borders," including three Hall of Famers. 1) T205 Gold Borders (28 cards): Nine cards range from Gd to Vg, and nineteen are Pr-Fr including Duffy (HOF), Ford (black cap), and Merritt (minor leaguer). 2) T206 White Borders (44 cards): Nineteen cards range from Gd to Vg including Bender/no trees (HOF), and twenty-five cards are Pr-Fr including Willis/bat (HOF). This is a neat group of cards from "the olden days," a little rough but still very collectible, and ideal for the collector who does not want to spend a fortune, but wants real, original circa 1910 tobacco cards which capture the spirit and the history of the game and collecting. We especially enjoy offering low-grade groups like these because they make the collecting of the most classic baseball card issues possible and more accessible to a wider audience. Total 72 cards. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000. SOLD FOR $1,528
