1911 T217 Mono Cigarettes Bernard

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $1,058

Graded VG-EX 4 by BVG. Extremely rare sample card of 1911 T217 Mono Cigarettes featuring Curtis Bernard of Los Angeles. The reverse of the card has the Mono Cigarettes advertisement in bold blue printing. The twenty-five-card T217 Mono Cigarettes set is one of the rarest of all Pacific Coast League issues and also one of the rarest of all 1910-era tobacco-card issues. The card has no creases, and very minor wear to the corners. The back is clean and crisp. This is a very attractive card which has been given the technically correct grade Vg-Ex but which has a much stronger overall appearance. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000. SOLD FOR $1,058
