Lot # 378 (of 1560)   < Previous Lot | Next Lot >

1911 T3 Turkey Red #90 Mickey Doolan

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $2,644

Graded EX-MT 6 by PSA. One of only two examples graded at this level, with none graded higher. This extremely high grade T3 example presents a particularly striking image of Mickey Doolan in a fielding pose. Well-centered card with a bright, crisp image, and a clean reverse. Checklist back. Doolan is a particularly interesting card in the T3 set as his card was issued with his name spelled correctly ("Doolan," as is the case on this card) and was also issued with his name misspelled "Doolin." We have found that at auction cards from extremely popular sets with very low populations in the highest grades often sell for far more than SMR, and this is especially the case with classic vintage sets such as the T3 Turkey Reds. SMR is $1,750. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000+. SOLD FOR $2,644
