1912 T202 Hassan Triple Folders PSA NM 7 Hall of Famer Collection (4)
Starting Bid - $1,500, Sold For - $4,406
Collection of four 1912 T202 Hassan Triple Folders in extremely high grade. Each card has been graded NM 7 by PSA. This is an extremely impressive group. In addition to the extraordinary condition, each of the four cards features one or more of the following Hall of Famers in the set: Christy Mathewson (two cards with Mathewson on end-panels), Johnny Evers, John McGraw, and Hughie Jennings. In the following condition composite, identifying card numbers are referenced from the numbers provided by the Standard Catalog of Baseball Cards checklist: #47 Mathewson/Meyers (Bright and crisp, perfectly clean, well-centered, and with four sharp corners, with very subtle irregular natural cut along the top and bottom), 60 Evers/Archer (Bright and crisp, with four square corners, and vibrant colors. Centered 40/60 L/R and 65/35 T/B), 84 Jennings/McGraw (Sharp corners; bright, clean and crisp; slightly out-of-focus images), and 85 Mathewson/Meyers (Perfectly clean and crisp, with bold colors, and four square corners. The very slightly irregular natural cut along the top and bottom is common with T202s due to their method of production. A very minor scratch on Matty's right cheek appears to be a print flaw). This is a very impressive collection of four key Hall of Famers from one of the most interesting, beautiful, and classic baseball tobacco issues ever produced. Total 4 cards. Reserve $1,500. Estimate $3,000/$5,000. SOLD FOR $4,406
