Collection of twenty-eight of the forty-eight cards which comprise this classic multisport 1930s prewar gum issue. This sharp-looking group represents 58% towards the assembly of a mid- to high-grade complete set of these popular classics. We selected five cards to be graded by SGC and one is graded by PSA. Condition composite: Three Nr/Mt: #18 Tunney (NM 84), 28 Doolittle (PSA NM 7), and 29 Bailey (NM 84). One Ex-Mt: #12 (EX/NM 80). Nine Ex: #9, 10, 13, 14, 15, 23 (EX 60), 40 (80/20 L/R), 42 Hubbell (EX 60), and 46. Five Vg: #3 Holman, 21 Weissmuller, 33 Burke, 47, and 48 Seppala (last card in set). Six Pr: #11, 22 Sarazen, 31, 34, 35 Rockne, and 36 Hoppe. Four lesser: slight trim or sheet-cut; #8 Hagen, 16 Tilden, 25, and 39. This is a very attractive mid-to high-grade partial set of one of the 1930s most popular issues.
