1953 Topps #280 Milt Bolling - PSA NM-MT 8

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $2,350

Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. Only one example has ever been graded higher by PSA. The 1953 Topps card #280 Milt Bolling is the last card in the set, an extreme condition rarity, and part of the scarce short-print high-number series. Just as card #1 Jackie Robinson was subject to excessive wear due to gravitating to the top of the pile as kids organized their cards by number in 1953, #280 Bolling was also subject to excessive wear at the bottom of the pile. This card has always been a very difficult card to find in anything even resembling high grade for anyone putting together a quality 1953 Topps set. This is an outstanding example. Bright, crisp, and clean, with four sharp corners, flawless registration, perfect gloss, and very well-centered just a hint to the left (45/55 L/R). The reverse is also perfectly clean with boldly printed text. A tremendous example of this significant Topps condition rarity. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$1,500. SOLD FOR $2,350
