Gigantic Baseball Autograph Collection with over 1,300 Signed Baseball Cards (1,340+ items)

This enormous baseball autograph collection is dominated by over 1,300 signed baseball cards and baseball stickers, but also includes a few signed Hall of Fame postcards, and other miscellaneous items. Signed Baseball Cards and Fleer Stickers (1,321). This group is comprised of 1,120 baseball cards and 201 Fleer sticker cards. The vast majority of the baseball cards are single-signed on the front, while the majority of the Fleer sticker cards are multi-signed on the front. The baseball cards, which include examples issued by Topps, Fleer, Score, and Donruss, as well as a number of lesser or "off-brand" examples, date from the 1950s through the 1990s, but the vast majority are from the late 1980s (only twenty date from the 1950s). Many players are represented more than once and a there are a number of duplicates. While a complete inventory would be impossible, we have tried to list all of the highlights and many of the notable signers. Signatures average "8/9" and the condition ranges from Fair to Near Mint, with the vast majority grading between Vg and Ex. The twenty 1950s cards offered here are Stan Musial (1953 Bowman Color #32, Vg), Bob Lemon (1955 Bowman #191, Vg), Hoyt Wilhelm (1953 Bowman B&W #28, Gd), Enos Slaughter (1954 Red Heart Dog Food, Vg), Cleveland Indians (1956 Topps #85, signed by Lou Boudreau, Bob Lemon, Herb Score, Joe Adcock, and Allie Reynolds, Gd), Warren Spahn (1956 Topps #10, Vg), Harvey Kuenn (1957 Topps #88 Vg), Wes Westrum (1954 Topps #180, Fr), Harvey Kuenn (1954 Topps #25, Gd-Vg), Harvey Haddix (1955 Topps #43, signed on back, Vg-Ex), Arnold Portocarrero (1955 Topps #77, Gd), Don Zimmer (1958 Topps, yellow, Vg), Daryl Spencer (1958 Topps #68, Vg-Ex), Whitey Lockman (1950 Bowman #82, Vg-Ex), Gerry Staley (1953 Bowman Color #17, Ex), Ted Gray (1953 Bowman Color #72, Gd), Wilmer Mizell (1953 Bowman B&W #23, Gd), Joe Nuxhall (1954 Bowman #76, Vg), Alvin Dark (1955 Bowman #2, Vg), and Gus Bell (1954 Red Heart Dog Food, Vg). The complete list of Hall of Fame single-signed cards in this collection (including those already listed in the 1950s cards inventory), with number of cards signed, if more than one, noted in parentheses, are Musial, Lemon, Wilhelm, Spahn (3), Mays, Slaugher (5), Jackson, Snider (2), Sutton (2), Puckett, D. Williams, Winfield, Niekro, Doerr, Hunter, Jenkins, Dickey, Ripken, Brett, Carter, B. Robinson (1975 Topps Mini #202), Ryan (1975 Topps Mini #5), and Carew. Among the highlights of the collection are forty-four 1975 Topps Mini cards and hundreds of star cards, including those of Donnie Moore (1986 Topps; he committed suicide in 1989), Ken Griffey Jr., Dale Murphy, Allan Trammell, Bobby Murcer, Steve Garvey, Fred Lynn, Dave Parker, Willie Horton, Felipe Alou, Sal Bando, Fernando Valenzuela, Lonnie Smith, and Kent Tekulve. Yellow Hall of Fame Postcards (8): Boudreau (3), Lemon (2), Spahn, Terry, and Herman. All have been signed on the front in blue marker (averaging "8"). Ex-Mt overall. Miscellaneous Items (16). Comprised mainly of 3 x 5-inch cards, or similar-sized sheets, individually signed by thirteen different players, including Charles Feeney, Lee MacPhail (Jr.), Charlie Grimm, Dixie Walker, Al Lopez, Dutch Leonard, and Carmen "Bunker" Hill. Also included is a 1976 Chicago Cubs roster booklet signed on the interior in a variety of inks ("10") by twenty-two team members, including Bruce Sutter and Rick Reuschel.
