1911 T205 Gold Border Rarities PSA & SGC Graded Collection (7)

Starting Bid - $800, Sold For - $1,998

Collection of seven high-grade rarities (out of the approximately twenty-four rare cards in the set) from the 1911 T205 Gold Border set all graded EX and encapsulated by PSA or SGC. Each of these cards would be a worthy addition to any high-grade T205 set even if they were not rare key cards. But the fact that this group is comprised exclusively of exceptional rarities in the set make this a particularly exciting group for anyone assembling or upgrading a T205 set. These rarities were part of an exceptional high-grade set which was assembled over many years and is being broken up. The following rare T205s are included: Chase/left ear (SGC EX 60), Ford/white cap (SGC EX 60, Polar Bear back), Grant (PSA EX 5), Harmon/left ear (SGC EX 60), Kleinow (SGC EX 60), Scanlan (PSA EX 5), and White/Pirates (PSA EX 5). T205 Gold Borders are particularly challenging to collect due to the many rarities included in the set. Even excluding the several extremely rare back variations needed for a master set, there is no escaping the fact that approximately twenty-four rare cards are needed for completion of the 208-card T205 set. This is a sharp, high-grade collection of seven of these significant T205 rarities. Total 7 cards. Reserve $800. Estimate $1,500/$2,500.
