1912 T202 Hassan Triple Folder PSA NM 7 Collection (19)

Starting Bid - $4,000, Sold For - $8,813

Collection of nineteen 1912 T202 Hassan Triple Folders in extraordinarily high grade. This is a stunning group. Each card has been graded NM 7 by PSA. In the following condition composite, identifying card numbers are referenced from the numbers provided by the Standard Catalog of Baseball Cards checklist. Consists of the following: #5 Bergen/Rucker, 6 Blair/Quinn, 7 Mullin/Stanage, 11 Magee/Moran, 12 Gaspar/McLean, 17 Archer/McIntyre, 18 Archer/Overall, 24 Egan/Mitchell, 32 Bridwell/Kling, 42 Daubert/Hummel, 51 Dooin/Magee, 52 Gibson/Phillippe, 58 Elberfeld/Milan, 66 Ford/Vaughn, 69 Grant/Hoblitzell, 95 Needham/Richie, 118 Krause/Thomas, 119 Egan/Hoblitzell, and 121 Fromme/McLean. If normal wear and tear is not enough to worry about on any cards dating from 1912, the unusual design of T202's has literally a laundry list of additional potential problems for T202s that almost always cause these cards to be graded harshly: centering, miscuts, print specs, "spider" creases, poor registration, a vertical "shadow" line center crease, etc. Each of these T202s is practically a miracle to be offered in this extraordinary condition. All the cards are crisp gems, extremely clean both front and back, with flawless color, sharp corners, and no creases. It would be very difficult to find a finer group of T202s. Even the highest-graded T202 set ever assembled in the history of collecting, the #1 set of all time on the PSA Registry, has an average grade of only 7.65, with the second best set of all time having an average grade below 7.0. The SMR value for these nineteen cards in the assigned grades is $13,300. Total 19 cards. Reserve $4,000. Estimate $8,000+. SOLD FOR $8,813
