1921-1939 Exhibits Hall of Fame SGC-Graded Collection (19)
Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $2,350
Collection of nineteen different Exhibit cards comprised exclusively of Hall of Famers, from eight different Exhibit card issues, spanning the years of 1921 to 1939. This is a particularly significant group, with each card representing the earliest or one of the earliest issued Major League cards of the respective Hall of Famer. Each card has been graded and encapsulated by SGC (unless otherwise noted). 1) 1921 Exhibits (6 cards): Coveleski (FAIR 20), Frisch (EX 60), Grimes (VG/EX 50), Haines (GOOD 30), Harris (VG 40), and Klem (VG 40). 2) 1922 Exhibits (1 card): Evans (FAIR 20). 3) 1923-1924 Exhibits (2 cards): Bottomley (VG 40) and Simmons (VG 40). 4) 1925 Exhibits (2 cards): Cuyler (POOR 10) and Ruffing (FAIR 20). 5) 1926 Exhibits (1 card): Lindstrom (GOOD 30). 6) 1926-1929 Postcard-back Exhibits (3 cards): Foxx (PSA EX 5), Grove (VG 40), and Klein (PSA EX 5). 7) 1928 Exhibits (1 card): Lyons (PSA EX-MT 6 [MK]). 8) 1939-1946 Salutation Exhibits (3 cards): Boudreau (VG 40), Mize (VG/EX 50), and Newhouser (VG 40). This is an impressive-looking group of Hall of Famer Exhibit cards, very carefully assembled by an extremely dedicated Hall of Fame rookie-card collector one card at a time. Total 19 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000. SOLD FOR $2,350
