1925 Lou Gehrig Exhibit Card - Rookie Card!

Starting Bid - $1,000, Sold For - $5,875

Graded VG-EX 4 by PSA. Exhibit card dating from Gehrig's first full season with the Yankees in 1925. This is an extremely significant card as it is universally recognized as Lou Gehrig's true rookie card. This is also one of the key rarities and perhaps the most noteworthy of all Exhibit cards. The card is bright and crisp with outstanding picture quality, minor edge and corner wear, and a very light diagonal crease through Gehrig's left foot. Both the front and back are bright and clean. While accurately graded at Vg-Ex, it certainly has an Excellent appearance. This is an extremely historic card, Lou Gehrig's true rookie card, and one that would be a worthy addition and an extremely significant highlight in even the most advanced card or Hall of Fame collection. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,500+.
