1933 DeLong Lou Gehrig and 1933 Goudey Babe Ruth SGC-Graded (2)

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $2,350

Collection of two all-time classic prewar Hall of Fame cards, dating from 1933. Each card has been graded and encapsulated by SGC. 1) 1933 R333 DeLong: #7 Lou Gehrig (VG 40; bright and crisp, with brilliant colors, centered slightly to the left, rounded corners, a little more so in the lower corners, light crease in the lower right). This is a great -ooking VG. 2) 1933 R319 Goudey: #149 Babe Ruth (FAIR 20; very attractive card with a strong VG appearance, with corner wear, no creases, downgraded to Fair due to the number "14" in ink on the reverse). This is a very sharp-looking pair of key cards, each one of the most important cards in its respective set and each one of the most famous cards of the era. Total 2 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$1,500. SOLD FOR $2,350
