15% Ex-Mt (includes a few slightly better), 70% range from Vg-Ex to Ex, and 15% Vg (includes a few slightly lesser). We have selected six cards to be graded and encapsulated by SGC. Keys: #1 Parnell RC (Vg), 3 DiMaggio (Vg), 6 Feller (Gd), 8 Kell (Vg), 11 Rizzuto (Vg), 19 Spahn (SGC VG/EX 50), 21 Reese (Vg), 22 Robinson (SGC VG 40), 23 Newcombe RC (Vg), 32 Roberts (miscut along the left border, otherwise Vg-Ex), 33 Kiner (Vg), 35 Slaughter (Ex), 37 Appling (Vg), 39 Doby (Vg-Ex), 40 Lemon (Ex-Mt), 43 Doerr (Vg-Ex), 46 Berra (SGC VG 40), 58 Furillo (Gd), 59 Branca (Vg), 62 Kluszewski (Gd-Vg), 71 Schoendienst (Vg), 75 Campanella (SGC VG/EX 50), 77 Snider (SGC EX 60), 84 Ashburn (Vg), 94 Boudreau (Vg-Ex), 98 Williams (SGC VG/EX 50), 112 Hodges (Vg-Ex), 139 Mize (Vg), 148 Wynn (75/25 L/R, otherwise Ex-Mt), 217 Stengel (Vg-Ex), 219 Bauer (Vg-Ex), 220 Durocher (Vg-Ex), 229 Frisch (Vg-Ex). The 1950 Bowman set is often overlooked by collectors simply because it does not include a Mantle or Mays rookie, but this was a landmark set in its day, being the first postwar baseball issue to feature full-color artwork instead of photographs. We rarely have the opportunity to offer a complete set of 1950 Bowman and over the years have consistently found it to be among the most elusive sets of the era. This is a very attractive mid-grade complete set of this classic early Bowman issue. Total 252 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000. SOLD FOR $2,938
