1971 Topps Complete Set (752)
Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $1,763
80% range from Ex-Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt (averaging Nr/Mt overall), 20% Ex (includes just a few cards lesser). Beautiful and overall very high-grade set, especially for 1971 Topps. The black flush-to-the-border design of the 1971 Topps set makes this issue particularly challenging to collect in extremely high grade. This is an extremely attractive and overall very high grade set, yet is far more affordable than the $29,375 that the #3 PSA Registry set (with an average grade of 8.10) realized as Lot #755 in REA's 2008 auction! We have selected four key cards to be graded and encapsulated by PSA (one graded PSA 8 NM-MT, one PSA 7 NM, and two PSA 6 EX-MT). Keys: #5 Munson (Ex), 20 Jackson (Ex), 100 Rose (Ex), 160 Seaver (Ex), 250 Bench (possible slight trim), 341 Garvey RC (PSA NM-MT 8), 400 Aaron (PSA NM 7), 513 Ryan (possible slight trim), 525 Banks (irregular cut), 600 Mays (PSA EX-MT 6), 630 Clemente (PSA EX-MT 6), 640 F. Robinson (Ex-Mt), 709 Baylor/Baker RC (Ex-Mt). Total 752 cards. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000. SOLD FOR $1,763
