1910-1912 T215 Red Cross Tobacco Type 1 - Frank Chance

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $2,115

Graded GOOD 30 by SGC. Hall of Famer Frank Chance from the T215 Red Cross (Type 1) tobacco-card set. This card is one of the many highlights from one of vintage-card collecting's most exciting recent discoveries: The Louisiana Find of 2010 (comprised of just 94 cards, all rarities, including eight T207 Red Cross back cards). Exceptionally rare example of one of the Hall of Famers in the set. T215s, of course, are among the rarest of all tobacco cards, and samples (even commons) are virtually impossible to find. The Frank Chance card has been downgraded due to heavily rounded corners, a diagonal crease in the top left portion of the card, and a natural diamond cut; the image is unaffected and has a Very Good appearance. An extremely rare example of Hall of Famer Frank Chance from T215 Red Cross tobacco, one of tobacco-card collecting's rarest sets. Reserve $500. Estimate (open). SOLD FOR $2,115
