1912 T207 Brown Background Blackburn - Rare "Red Cross" Back

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $1,880

Graded POOR 10 by SGC. T207 "Red Cross" tobacco card of Russell Blackburn from the Chicago Americans. This is one of eight T207 cards with "Red Cross" backs from one of vintage-card collecting's most exciting recent discoveries: the Louisiana Find of 2010. Low-grade example displaying corner wear and extensive creasing. Blackburn has always been recognized as a particularly rare card in the T207 set. Despite the heavy creasing, the integrity of the card remains intact and the all-important reverse displays particularly well. This is a low-grade card, but still a very presentable T207 example with the extremely rare Red Cross advertising reverse. Reserve $500. Estimate (open). SOLD FOR $1,880
