1910-Era Tobacco and Caramel-Card Collection (71)

This collection of seventy-one tobacco and candy cards from the 1910 era includes cards from six different baseball issues and one boxing set, highlighted by seven Hall of Famers. These cards were part of a particularly exciting newly discovered original-owner collection that includes a E90-1 American Caramel of Joe Jackson, three T208 Firesides, and other 1910-era cards, all of which are presented in several lots in this auction. 1) E90-1 American Caramel (3 cards): Bliss (Gd), H. Davis (Vg), and Stanage (Pr). 2) E92 Dockman & Sons (6 cards): Bergen (Gd), Magee (Vg-Ex), two McLean (Vg-Ex and Vg), Miller (Vg/Vg-Ex), and Schmidt (Vg). 3) E96 Philadelphia Caramel (6 cards): three Ames (two Gd and one Fr), Clarke (HOF, Pr), H. Davis (Fr-Gd), and Konetchy (Vg). 4) T206 White Borders (14 cards): seven cards range from Vg to Ex including Crawford/bat (HOF), and seven range from Pr to Gd. 5) T205 Gold Borders (16 cards): ten cards range from Vg-Ex to Ex-Mt including Adkins (minor leaguer), Brown (HOF), and J. Collins (HOF), and six range from Pr to Vg. 6) T201 Mecca Double Folders (7 cards): four cards are Vg including Clarke (HOF) and Walsh (HOF), and three are Pr-Fr. 7) E75 American Caramel Prize Fighters Boxing near-complete set (19 of 20): Missing only Dixon for completion. The near set of nineteen cards grades Fair to Good overall.
