1901 W. F. Faulkner "Golf Terms" PSA-Graded Collection (3)

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $1,058

Collection of three high-grade cards from the rare 1901 W. & F. Faulkner "Golf Terms" set, each graded and encapsulated by PSA. This is an extremely attractive trio of these very rare and colorful tobacco cards. Each card in the set features a colorful illustration of a golf scene with a humorous caption. The back of each card is blank. The PSA grades are as follows: Two NM-MT 8: " Two to one against..." (Highest Graded!) and "Well forward" (Highest Graded!). One GOOD 2: "A Nasty Lie" (glue residue on the reverse from scrapbook removal, otherwise Nr/Mt). This is an extremely attractive trio, with magnificent artwork, popular subject matter, and outstanding eye-appeal. W. & F. Faulkner's "Golf Terms" are rarely seen and are highly prized by serious golf-card collectors. The SMR value for just the two PSA NM-MT 8 examples (not including the PSA GOOD 2 card) is $4,500. Total: 3 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000+. SOLD FOR $1,058
