Unbelievably high grade complete twelve-card set of 1928 W. A. & A. C. Churchman "Famous Golfers - 2nd Series of 12" cards, highlighted by the legendary Tom Morris. This is currently the number-one All-Time Finest set in the world on the PSA Registry! Each card has been graded and encapsulated by PSA. The set includes one MINT 9, and eleven PSA NM-MT 8s (including Morris). The PSA registry overall weighted GPA rating is 8.11. This is an outstanding set which has been assembled by an extremely dedicated and condition-conscious collector over a period of many years, with the express purpose of assembling the best set in the world. The PSA grades are as follows: One MINT 9: #12 Whitcombe. Eleven NM-MT 8: #1 Barnes (HOF), 2 Boomer, 3 Compston, 4 Gadd, 5 Havers, 6 Jolly, 7 Massy, 8 Morris (HOF), 9 Simpson, 10 Sweetser, and 11 Tolley. Nine of these cards are the highest-ever PSA-graded examples. Two additional cards have only one example graded higher. This is a remarkable high-grade complete set of one of the most highly prized golf sets of the era, and one of the highlights of the Jack Zugay Collection.
