Starting Bid - $1,000, Sold For - $3,525

Collection of three incredibly ultra high-grade N172 Old Judges graded by SGC (one NM/MT+ 92, one NM/MT 88, and one NM 84): 1) #163-4 Silver Flint/Chicago (1887 copyright date, NM 84); 2) 430-4 Pete Sommers/Chicago (1889 copyright date, NM/MT+ 92), and 3) 489-3 Joe Werrick/Louisville (1888 copyright date, NM/MT 88). Numbers reference the Old Judge book checklist. Each card is very well centered, with four sharp corners, a crisp, strong image, with flawless clarity and contrast, and a perfectly clean reverse. Anyone who has ever sent N172 Old Judges in for grading knows what a miracle it is to have an N172 actually grade Near Mint, let alone Near Mint to Mint by SGC. These three cards are gems! This is an impressive trio of top-quality ultra high-grade Old Judges, some of the best examples we seen, in virtually perfect condition. Total: 3 cards. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,000/$3,000 .
