1915 E145 Cracker Jack #70 Fred Clarke - SGC NM/MT 88
Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $1,528
Graded NM/MT 88 by SGC. Only two examples have been graded higher by SGC. Spectacular ultra high-grade factory-set-fresh card. While Cracker Jacks were issued one card per box, in 1915 the entire set of 176 cards could also be ordered direct from the factory by mail in exchange for 100 coupons, or 1 coupon plus 25 cents. Cracker Jacks are universally regarded as one of the most classic and highly regarded baseball-card sets ever produced. This is crisp card, perfectly clean front and back, no stains, four sharp corners, flawless colors, and a very slight tilt to the image (which is very common with Cracker Jacks). This is a very sharp card. It is rare to find any Cracker Jack in such high grade, let alone a high-grade example of Hall of Famer Fred Clarke. The equivalent SMR value for the assigned graded is $3,400. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000+. SOLD FOR $1,528
