Rarely offered near-complete set of 1922 W575-2 “Autograph on Shoulder” cards includes 35 of the 40 cards in the set, highlighted by an amazing seventeen Hall of Famers, including Babe Ruth and Ty Cobb. Over the years, this unusual issue has come to be known as the “Autographs on Shoulder” set because each player’s name appears in script across his shoulder. This set is of special interest to collectors because of the unusual photographs used, all of which are unique to this issue. Fifteen cards grade Vg or better (includes a few Vg-Ex), and twenty cards range from Fr to Gd. Missing only five cards for completion (#3, 6 Coveleski, 7, 8, and 19 Marquard). Numbers referenced are provided by the Standard Catalog checklist.
