1926 Spalding Champions Babe Ruth

Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $588

Graded VG 40 by SGC. This is the premier 1920s Babe Ruth baseball card. Do not be fooled by the modest SGC grade on this card! It is a tremendous example! We grade this card EX. Extremely attractive example of the key card from this 1926 set issued by the Spalding Sporting Goods Company. In our opinion, these are the most classic cards of the 1920s, beautifully and elegantly designed, and representing a particularly outstanding collecting value among Babe Ruth cards. This magnificent example is bright and crisp, and has been downgraded due to a single extremely small, light diagonal crease in the upper right corner (visible under magnification), and has an otherwise Ex-Mt appearance. Text-style reverse with 1926 copyright. Reserve $200. Estimate $400+. SOLD FOR $588
