1934 R320 Goudey #37 Lou Gehrig

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $2,644

Graded EX+ 5.5 by PSA. Bright and clean example of one of the most popular of all Lou Gehrig cards, and one of the most classic of all 1930s bubble-gum cards. Perfect registration and bright, bold colors. Centered slightly towards the top right (approximately 60/40 L/R and 35/65 T/B). The corners show a touch of light, even wear but are still square. The reverse of the card has bold green text. There are two small areas with a hint of discoloration in the background near the top right border (one barely visible) but this has little impact and does not affect any graphics or the flawless crisp portrait. A beautiful example of one of Gehrig's most desirable cards, and the key card from this classic 1930s bubble-gum card series. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$1,500+. SOLD FOR $2,644
