Keys: Ashburn (Vg), Irvin (Gd), Kiner (Vg), Kluszewski (Gd), Schoiendienst (Fr), Slaughter (Vg). Also included are three large-size variations (Gordon, Hoeft, O'Connell) and one duplicate (Hoeft). This is a very substantial collection of the "unsung heroes" of regional food issues. These Dixie Lid sets have received very little attention from collectors in recent years, and relative to their rarity represent one of the best values of all 1930s and 1950s issues. This is an outstanding and unusually substantial collection of these very scarce and overlooked 1930s and 1950s food-issue cards. Total: 43 ice cream tops. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000+.
