1888 N162 Goodwin Champions Ed Andrews

Graded VG/EX 50 by SGC. Very attractive high-grade example of A's outfielder Ed Andrews from the colorful N162 Goodwin Champions set. Andrews is one of eight baseball players from this very popular fifty-card set issued by Old Judge and Gypsy Queen Cigarettes. The set features champions and stars of the day from a wide variety of sports. This conservatively graded very strong Vg-Ex example (many would grade this card Excellent) is beautifully centered, with bright, flawless colors, no creases, and light, even corner wear. N162 Goodwin Champions are considered by many to be the most beautiful of all nineteenth-century tobacco cards. This is an extremely attractive sample card in a very high grade. Reserve $200. Estimate $400+.
