1956 Topps #130 Willie Mays - PSA MINT 9

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $2,938

Graded MINT 9 by PSA. Highest-graded example! Pack-fresh gem with flawless colors and gloss, perfect contrast, beautifully centered (just a hint towards the bottom border, approximately 55/45), and with four razor-sharp corners! A quick look at the PSA population report shows that an almost incredible 2,420 examples of this card have been graded to date. Of these, however, only twenty-five have graded PSA MINT 9, with no PSA 10 examples ever graded. 1956 Topps cards typically suffer from a variety of condition problems, including print defects and a tendency to have soft corners, which make Mint examples particularly difficult to find. Extraordinary ultra high-grade example worthy of the finest Willie Mays or Hall of Famer card collection. SMR value is $3,500. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000+.
