1958 Topps #150 Mickey Mantle - PSA MINT 9

Starting Bid - $2,000, Sold For - $7,638

Graded MINT 9 by PSA. Pack-fresh gem with flawless colors and gloss, bright orange background, and four razor-sharp corners. This is a stunning ultra high-grade example of one of Mickey Mantle's most popular and classic cards. The most subtle registration flaw may be the only factor keeping this bright, crisp card from being a PSA Gem Mint 10. This is a sharp card! A quick look at the PSA population report shows that an almost incredible 3,057 examples of this card have been graded to date. Of these, however, only twenty-two have graded PSA MINT 9, with no PSA 10 examples ever graded. 1958 Topps cards typically suffer from a variety of condition problems, including print defects and a tendency to have soft corners, which make Mint examples particularly difficult to find. This is an extremely attractive ultra high-grade example, far exceeding the expectations for 1958 Topps. SMR value is $9,500. Reserve $2,000. Estimate $4,000+. SOLD FOR $7,638
