1926-1939 PSA-Graded Golf-Card Collection (28)

Collection of twenty-eight high-quality high-grade golf cards from nine different classic sets, dating from 1926 to 1939, all graded and encapsulated by PSA. The collection was assembled one card at a time by a very dedicated extremely advanced collector over a period of many years, whose primary interest is golf cards. There are no weak "links" here (pun intended). All are extremely high quality cards that naturally have significant break value if sold separately, and together represent a substantial high-grade representative collection of vintage golf cards. The collection consists of the following: 1) 1926 Spalding Champions (2 cards): MacFarlane RC (Ad Back - MINT 9; none graded higher) and Von Elm RC (Ad Back - MINT 9; none graded higher). 2) 1928 J. Millhoff & Co. "Famous Golfers" (3 cards): #11 (NM-MT+ 8.5, only two graded higher), 16 (MINT 9, none graded higher), and 25 (MINT 9, none graded higher). 3) 1928 W. A. A. C. Churchman "Men Of The Moment In Sport" Small (3 cards): #30 (NM-MT 8, only three graded higher) and two 33 (both NM-MT 8, only two graded higher). 4) 1930 Major Drapkin Co. "Sporting Celebrities In Action": #6 (MINT 9, highest graded). 5) 1930 W. D. & H. O. Wills "Famous Golfers" (8 cards): #5 (NM-MT 8, none graded higher), 6 (NM-MT 8, only one graded higher), 11 (NM-MT 8, only one graded higher), 12 (NM-MT 8, only one graded higher), 13 (NM-MT 8, only one graded higher), 14 (NM-MT 8, none graded higher), 15 (NM-MT 8, none graded higher), and 19 (NM-MT 8, only two graded higher). 6) 1936 John Cotton, Ltd. Golf Strokes A/B (4 cards): #A29/B22 (NM-MT 8, only two graded higher), A30/B21 (NM-MT 8, only two graded higher), A31/B20 (NM-MT 8, only two graded higher), and A41/B10 (NM-MT 8, only one graded higher). 7) 1936 John Player & Sons "Championship Golf Courses" (2 cards): #4 (NM-MT 8, only three graded higher) and 14 (NM-MT 8, only three graded higher). 8) 1937 Ogden's Limited (Champions of 1936): #24 (MINT 9, highest graded). 9) 1939 John Player & Sons "Golf" (4 cards): #12 (NM-MT 8), two 14 (both NM-MT 8), and 23 (NM-MT 8).
