1959 Johnny Cash Window-Card Concert Poster

Window-card poster heralding Johnny Cash and his Tennessee Two, along with Lorrie Collins and the Big Beats Band, at the Division Street Corral in Portland, Oregon, on June 27, 1959. Although no year is listed, this concert was covered by Billboard in its July 6, 1959, issue. In part: "Johnny Cash and 'The Johnny Cash Show,' featuring Lorrie Collins and the Big Beats attracted more than 3,000 paid to the Division Street Corral here Saturday night June 27, establishing a new attendance record for the spot." The Tennessee Two were Luther Perkins on electric guitar and Marshall Grant on upright bass. This is one of the earliest-known Johnny Cash concert posters and is very scarce. It is also ideal for display. The window card (14 x 22 inches) displays a few creases and scratches, as well as a few light stains (mainly along the lower border areas). In Very Good condition overall. Framed to total dimensions of 16.5 x 25 inches. Reserve $300. Estimate $500+. SOLD FOR $1,422
