1933-1938 Goudey Gum Baseball Card Collection (261) Including Four Babe Ruths and Three Lou Gehrigs

Original-owner "shoebox" collection of 261 prewar cards, all Goudey gum cards (with the exception of fifty-six 1934-1936 Diamond Stars), mostly different but includes some duplicates, spanning the years 1933 to 1938, including representation from nine different classic issues, with numerous Hall of Famers and additional highlights, including Ty Cobb, four Babe Ruths, three Lou Gehrigs, Jimmie Foxx, and Hank Greenberg. These cards have been consigned directly from a friend of the original owner, who as a youngster personally saved these cards in the 1930s. Sixteen cards have been graded by PSA. The balance of the cards grade Fair overall. 7) 1936 R314 Goudey "Wide Pens" (6 cards): Cochrane (Gd), two Feller (Vg and Pr), and three commons (two Vg and Gd). 8) 1937 R342 Goudey Thum Movies (2 booklets): #7 Appling (Gd) and 13 (Gd). 9) 1938 R326 Goudey Big League Baseball Movies (4 booklets): #1 (part 2, Pr), 2 (part 2, Pr), 5 (part 1, Pr), and 7 Appling (part 2, Pr). This is a very substantial, unique, and eclectic representation of classic card issues from the prewar era, a collection (and education in 1930s bubble-gum cards!) unto itself, including (as can easily be seen) many highlights.
