1952 Topps #311 Mickey Mantle

Starting Bid - $2,000, Sold For - $10,073

Graded VG-EX 4 by PSA. Exceptionally strong Vg-Ex example of 1952 Topps #311 Mickey Mantle. One of card collecting's greatest classics, Mantle's Topps rookie card is the key to the 1952 Topps set, one of the most famous of all cards, and the single most popular and valuable postwar baseball card. This is a very sharp example: Bright, clean, and crisp, with four square corners, no creases, and a bold blue background. Centered 65/35 left to right and 75/25 top to bottom. If not for the centering, and a few gum stains on the reverse, this card would grade Excellent. This is a magnificent and extremely attractive example of Mickey Mantle's most celebrated card in a very desirable grade. Reserve $2,000. Estimate $4,000/$6,000+. SOLD FOR $10,073
