1975 Topps Mini Complete Set (660): #7 PSA Set Registry (8.04 GPA)

Starting Bid - $2,500, Sold For - $4,148

Presented is an extraordinary ultra high-grade complete set of 1975 Topps Mini baseball cards. This is one of the finest and highest-graded complete sets of this popular issue ever assembled! This set is listed on the PSA Set Registry as the seventh highest listed set with a GPA of 8.04! The 1975 Mini cards are 20% smaller than the standard Topps cards and were test marketed only in Michigan and the West Coast. Aside from their smaller size, they are otherwise identical to the standard 1975 Topps cards. The colored flush-to-the-border design of the 1975 Topps Mini set makes this issue particularly challenging to collect in extremely high grade. If ever there were a Topps set with what we would call a cult following, the 1975 Topps Mini set is it! It would not take long for anyone with even a passing interest in 1975 Topps Minis to realize that this is an issue with an extremely enthusiastic following. The relative rarity, distinctive size, test-issue status, and all-around mystique and intrigue of the set all contribute to creating tremendous interest in the issue, far more so than other sets of the era. It is hard to pinpoint exactly why this is the case, but it is, and has been since 1975! All 660 cards have been graded and encapsulated by PSA. Condition composite: The set consists of 116 MINT 9s (including twelve qualified), sixteen NM-MT+ 8.5s, 477 NM-MT 8s (including seven qualified), one NM+ 7.5, forty-nine NM 7s (including two qualified), and one EX-MT 6. This classic set features all the stars of the era, including rookie cards of Hall of Famers George Brett, Robin Yount, Gary Carter, and Jim Rice, and stars such as Hank Aaron, Nolan Ryan, Reggie Jackson, and Mike Schmidt. The PSA grades are as follows: 116 MINT 9: including #197 1959 MVPs (Fox/Banks), 199 1961 MVPs (Maris/F. Robinson), 201 1963 MVPs (Howard/Koufax), 299 Dent, and 565 Torre.
