1955 Ty Cobb Signed Check PSA NM-MT 8

Ty Cobb personal check, dated November 26, 1955, signed in green ink by “Tyrus R. Cobb.” Encapsulated by PSA/DNA, with the signature graded "NM-MT 8." The check, drawn on the First National Bank of Nevada, features Ty Cobb’s preprinted name along the left front border and has been made out to “Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company” in the amount of $228.56. While there are many Cobb checks (he saved everything and his family made literally hundreds of checks available after his passing, in exchange for a donation to the Cobb Educational Foundation, a charity that helps underprivileged children). A Cobb check is always a classic, especially a high-grade encapsulated gem such as this example. The check (8 x 3 inches) has standard bank cancellation stamps and perforations, and displays a single vertical fold. In Excellent condition overall. LOA from James Spence/JSA. Reserve $200.
